This policy explains what personal data we collect through aethriad.vercel.app, why we collect it, and the rights you have. It is written for a software studio based in Spain and serving clients across Europe.
Who we are
Aethriad is a software studio based in Spain. We are the controller of personal data collected through this website. For any privacy request, write to aethriad@gmail.com.
What we collect
We collect as little as we need to run the site and respond to you:
- Project inquiries: name, email, optional company, project type, timeline, and your message.
- Language: a strictly necessary cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) so the site stays in the language you chose.
- Consent: a cookie (aethriad-consent) remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice, for one year.
- Approximate country: on a first visit, the country derived from your IP (via Vercel) to pick an initial language. We do not store this.
- Usage: if you accept the notice, anonymous, cookieless analytics (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) to understand how the site performs.
How we use it
We use this data to answer inquiries, remember your language and consent, keep the site reliable, and improve it. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Legal bases
Under the GDPR we rely on:
- Pre-contractual steps: handling a project inquiry you send us.
- Legitimate interest: operating and securing the site, and understanding aggregate usage.
- Consent: analytics, only after you accept the cookie notice.
- Legal obligation: where we must keep or disclose records.
Who processes data for us
We use a short list of processors to run the site:
- Vercel — hosting, CDN, analytics, Speed Insights, and IP-country for the initial locale.
- Resend — delivering inquiry emails to our inbox.
- Cal.com — if you book a call through the embed on the contact page.
- WhatsApp / Meta — only if you choose to message us via the WhatsApp link.
How long we keep it
Inquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to handle them and for ordinary business records, then deleted. Cookies expire as described above. Analytics data is retained according to Vercel's product defaults, in aggregate form.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict your data, to object to processing, to receive a copy (portability), and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to aethriad@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish AEPD (aepd.es) or your local supervisory authority.
International transfers
Some processors may handle data outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States). Where that happens, it is under Standard Contractual Clauses or another GDPR-approved safeguard.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If our practices change, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
